Our Winter Clothes

Us in Snow

Our first snow fell on Tuesday, but we were prepared for it.

The week before, I went and bought some winter clothes. In August, I was already wearing 6 layers on top, but unfortunately, these layers all were very thin. I wore a tank top, a short sleeve, a thin long sleeve, a turtleneck, a thin sweater, and a jacket. I didn't think that I could fit anything else on and it was laborious wearing so many layer.

But as of last week, my life has changed. I bought long underwear for the top and bottom. These long underwear are not like regular long underwear. They look like sweats with fuzz on the inside. Wow, they are so warm. The only color that I could find was red, and so when I wear them I feel like a red monkey. So today, I only wore three layers on top (my long underwear, a thick sweater that I bought, and my jacket. My long underwear purchase revolutionized the way I dress.

I also bought another long underwear for my bottoms for the really cold days. This long underwear looks like scuba pants. They are black, they feel really slick, and then on the inside is fuzz. I heard that they need to be slick because they are so thick and so the pants can hardly fit around them.

I also purchased some sweaters, a face mask, and ear muffs. I also bought Alvin some long underwear too, and he says it is warm.

Here's me modeling my winter wear:

Notice that nothing but my eyes are showing. They are the only part of my body that gets cold when I bike. Sometimes I think, "man it is cold, I think my eyes are getting frozen." And then I blink some tears, and then I feel better.

glad to see that you are sporting the classic "chinese surgical mask" in the winter version.

Today was our first day of cold...it got into the 80s.

Bethany, you need warm boots with thick thermal socks and a gargle(spelling?) for eyes protection from the cold air. Then you are ready for winter (not yet arrived?!)
