While in Dallas, I decided to cut my daughter's fingernails. I haven't done in since the first time I cut her nails when she was one month old and I barely cut her and made her squeeze out two tears. I thought, "It can't be that hard." So I was cutting. I did about 4 fingers, and then I got to the thumb. I cut her nail, and then she looked at me and started to cry big time. I looked down and the tip of her thumb was missing. Aaaaw! I completely freaked out. No one was home and Meliya started bleeding. I started running around the house trying to look for bandages and thinking, "should I take her to the hospital." I called the owners of the house we were staying at, and when they asked if Meliya needed stitches, I said, "maybe." Eventually Alvin came home to find two crying people at home (one of them was Meliya and the other one will remain a secret). He said that the injury was not bad and even found the piece of Meliya's thumb, which was the size of an adult pinkie fingernail clipping. He forced us all out of the house to eat dinner after bandaging up Meliya's wound. (My aching heart was harder to bandage up.) I realized that Meliya would survive, but every time she cried that night, I felt bad. I didn't know if she was tired, hungry, or she was pained.
After two days, the cut was closed up, and after two weeks, the thumb looks completely new.
Yeah! Still, I realized a couple things from this incident.
First, she is going to get hurt, and sometimes it will be my fault, but I should just be ok with it and not freak out.
Second, I will never cut her nails again. She will be like Samson, except not with her hair, but with her nails. She will have long curly nails and then she will tap them together when she has evil plans. Still, at least she will have all her finger tips intact.

Huang Family Time
We were able to meet up with some of my mom's side of the family in Arlington and Plano, TX. We went to visit my grandmother and grandfather's grave site in Arlington and had dinner with my mom's brothers' families.
(My question is, who is holding her?)
Meliya also met my cousin's son, Colgin, for the first time. Colgin loves babies and just wants to hold her. Meliya has hung out with a couple of young children, but she usually gets slightly abused from it. Here is her reactions to Colgin's hugs:

Visiting Friends in Dallas
Here is a picture-a-thon of some people we have met up with in Dallas. Good thing Meliya doesn't have stranger anxiety yet so she doesn't mind right now being passed around.

5 Months
Little Meliya is now 5 months old. She can now roll over easily from her tummy to her back, and can sit with assistance for about 1 minute. She doesn't eat solids yet, but she is starting to get interested in what we eat. She was drooling all over our host's fried chicken last night (literally).
Here is Meliya as we were visiting our old school in Dallas:

Here Meliya is taking a walk with her Pooh shirt. We were hoping it would inspire her to poo since she only poos once every 7-10 days.
