Mom and Dad come to town!

My parents came into town yesterday, and it's been so good to spend some time with them. I don't have time to write a long blog entry, since it has been a long day, and we have to be up early again tomorrow morning to go out exploring with them again.

Today, we took them to the mountains to our west, took a ski lift up part of the mountain, hiked up another part, and then took a ski lift down the mountain.



Then, after lunch, we explored the neighborhood around our home and university... the outdoor market, the streets, and the campus. Then it was hanging out at home and just relaxing, resting, and drinking tea. After that, a nice leisurely bus ride into the old city for dinner (duck!).

We had such a good time with them today, and were just so glad that they could come and experience a little bit of what life is like for us out here.

Tomorrow, it's off to the desert...
