Well, don't tell my mom... but I caught a cold. And it totally threw off my Sunday. And... I know how I caught it too - from biking in the rain. In shorts and a t-shirt.The weather here has been very unpredictable. From what we hear, September is typically a very pleasant month. Temps in the 70's, sunny, and nice. But actually, it has turned out to be a few days (or maybe a week) of rainy sogginess, and then a few days of pleasant sunshine. You can't really predict from one day to the next what it will be like.
So, on Saturday, it started out pleasant but cool. Pleasant enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt. In the afternoon, I was at a friend's home for a few hours, and by the time I was leaving... it had started to rain. But, what can you do? So, I biked the 10 minutes home... in the rain.
Saturday night was the onset of the cold. I spent the whole night coughing (a leftover cough from last weekend at Beijing) and blowing my nose. And today's weather? Bright, sunny, and nice. I spent every minute of it inside, not even stepping outside the door once. Toilet paper has replaced kleenex (cheaper that way). And I have class in 11 hours. It's about time for bed.

well, it's time to get both of you a poncho to ride bike in the rain. Keep warm and stay healthy please.
