Flight of the Bumblebee - on the Erhu

I have a short list of things that I hope, at the end of my life, I can say without a doubt that I have pursued. This is a short list, and in my mind is only partially defined up until now. I have some more good thinking and reflection that I need to do on this.

I have a much longer list of things that I hope to do in life but have conceded that I may never do before I die. Everyone has this kind of list — run a marathon, see the Mona Lisa, swim with dolphins, etc.

On my long list of things I hope that I can do someday is... learn to play the erhu. Maybe I'll get my chance someday. Or who knows, it may just be another passing interest that will wane after a few months.

In the meantime, here is a good example of what I'd like to be able to do someday:

So, when you say this is what you'd like to do, are you saying that this is like swimming with dolphins? Or will this eventually end up on your short list of things done? I didn't know you could even play the erhu. I am a little confused by your post: I'm assuming that you are saying you want to play the erhu but you could also be saying: "My dream is to make a Youtube video of someone playing the erhu."

To clarify, Captain... my long list of things I'd like to do - but may never do - include learning to play the erhu. Perhaps even to be able to play the erhu like in this video.

I have no desire to swim with dolphins.
No desire to see the Mona Lisa.
No desire to run a marathon.
And no desire to make a Youtube video of someone (other than myself) playing the erhu.
