Happy Programmer's Day!
September 13th is Programmer's Day. Yes, this is a rather new "holiday" - and really, it is only officially recognized in Russia right now. It is celebrated on the 256th day of each year.

Those Russians have funky holidays... my russian coworker would tell me "happy day!" and i'd look at her like "huh??" =P

Kipy: 256 is 2 to the 8th power. An 8-bit byte is basically 8 "on/off switches" (1's and 0's) combined together. An 8-bit byte can represent a total of 2^8 = 256 values.
256 is like the geek's lucky number. Westerners have 7 or 21. Chinese people have 6, 8, 9. Geeks... have 256.
Geeks also have their doomsday: January 19, 2038.
