I planted some herbs back in the summer. I thought I planted basil, oregano, and mint. The basil I ended up killing because the fruit flies got a little too crazy in the house. I thought that the oregano never came up, and so I thought I only had the mint. Eventually the "mint" grew, and I gave one to my friend.
We eventually realized that it might not be mint, but tastes more like oregano. Although I don't think it looks like oregano.
Can anyone identify this plant? I used it for my roast chicken and herb croutons the other day so I know it is not poisonous.

Funny--I guess if it eases your upset stomach, rather than upset your stomach then it's not poisonous and most likely mint ; )
My first guess when I saw it, before reading the rest of your blog was that it looked like mint. Maybe you've created a hybrid herb.
Hopefully there's a botanist friend/reader that can help you identify it.
How the leaves are on the vine, looks like oregano. That's how mine grow too but the leaves are different. The leaves definetly look more like mint. So, maybe it's a hybrid. =)
Looks like mint to me. Also, mint grows a lot and takes over a lot of other plants...at least that's what the herb guy told me at farmer's market when I was purchasing mine. : )
